Fox Rothschild is committed to the health and welfare of our attorneys and staff. We're pleased to participate in Fox Fit & Well, a firm-wide wellness program designed to help our attorneys, staff and their families reach their health and wellness goals.
In 2010 our dedication to promoting a healthy workplace was recognized with the Philadelphia Business Journal/United Healthcare Healthy Workplace Award: 1st Prize Gold Winner - Best of Show, in the large company category.
Nearly 70 to 90 percent of health care costs are due to unhealthy choices and preventable risks. The Fox Fit & Well initiative is designed to help participants stay healthy and reduce overall health care costs through heightened awareness/education of preventive and chronic care management.
Health care costs have risen rapidly over the past several years, and it is likely that costs will continue to increase in the future. Individuals are now undertaking a higher cost burden for care – and there has been a clear shift toward consumers taking more responsibility for their individual health. This “consumer driven health care” trend has resulted in a plethora of programs offered by employers and insurers to help individuals better understand and take advantage of their benefits. After researching many options, the firm has incorporated some of the most highly regarded program components into its own Fox Fit & Well initiative.
Working in conjunction with our health care providers Aetna and Highmark (in Pittsburgh), Fox Fit & Well helps participants to undertake specific wellness goals and develop them into individual wellness steps and action plans. This is achieved by ensuring that our attorneys, staff and their families get the care they need for personal health and well-being through a variety of testing, assessments, programs and access to online health information.
Fox Fit & Well was launched in February 2009. We strive to promote wellness and help make a difference in the lives of our attorneys and staff and their families.
