Amy handles all aspects of patent prosecution for life sciences inventions by numerous universities and life sciences companies. Trained as a molecular biologist, she possesses extensive knowledge in molecular biology, gene therapy, virology, genetics, immunology, stem cell technology, pharmaceutical sciences, transgenic plants and animals and genomics.

Amy has extensive experience preparing and filing U.S. provisional, utility and international patent applications, preparing patentability opinions and strategically planning and maintaining patent portfolios in these areas and also has experience with inter partes reviews providing intellectual property litigation support.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox, Amy was a senior patent agent at a national intellectual property boutique law firm.

In her doctoral program, Amy focused her research on viral genetics and viral vector based-gene therapy applications. After earning her Ph.D., she worked as a scientific adviser and subsequently as a patent agent with the intellectual property group of a national law firm, where she assisted both academic and corporate clients in obtaining patents and with managing patent portfolios for inventions in a variety of technology areas across the life sciences spectrum.
