Judy’s practice encompasses family law and domestic relations, including:
- adoptions
- annulments
- prenuptial agreements
- sophisticated and complex divorce and support cases
- contentious custody litigation
- relocation
She also works on matters involving:
- protecting grandparents’ rights, including custody issues involving grandchildren
- complex Protection from Abuse cases, in which adult children have committed cruel and violent acts against elderly parents
Judy also handles Hague cases involving the international abduction and retention of children by their parents.
In law school at Villanova, Judy:
- participated in the International Law Society and the Women’s Law Caucus
- was a Research Assistant to Prof. Ruth Gordon
- was a legal writing teaching assistant to Diane Edelman
- participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Team
Judy sits as an arbitrator with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas compulsory arbitration program. She is a former Adjunct Professor at the James E. Beasley School of Law of Temple University, where she taught a course on legal writing to international attorneys. She has discussed the legal rights of grandparents on the radio program "The Morning Zone," broadcast from Cheyenne to Denver.
Active in the firm’s pro bono activities, Judy has served the following organizations:
- Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP)
- Senior Law Center
- Legal Clinic for the Disabled
- Support Center for Child Advocates
She has mentored junior associates on child custody cases for VIP and coached a team in the Temple/LEAP High School Mock Trial Competition. Judy is a former trustee for Elam United Methodist Church in Glen Mills, PA.
Judy also contributes to the Pennsylvania Family Law Blog, which provides readers with information on and insight into Pennsylvania Family Law issues, including divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, spousal support, alimony pendente lite, and custody.

• Selected as a 2008 "Lawyer on the Fast Track" by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly. As such, Judy is one of only 35 Pennsylvania attorneys under the age of 40 selected as a future leader of the Commonwealth's legal community and for having made a significant commitment to the community-at-large.
