Experienced researcher with a focus on training to support its expanding initiatives. As a member of the firm-wide research team, the Research Training Coordinator will hold the primary responsibility for conducting research oriented training programs and will also assist in responding to firm-wide reference and research requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts ongoing training and development classes for attorneys, paralegals and staff members. Training is conducted both formally and informally, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training (one on one), meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Develops and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Conducts training sessions for new hires.
- Assists in developing new training programs or improving existing programs.
- Provides research and reference assistance to attorneys and staff on a firm-wide basis.
- In conjunction with the Director of Library Services, works with outside training vendors on developing programs that meet firm’s needs.
Qualifications:
- MLS or related job experience
- Thorough knowledge of legal research methodology
- Excellent interpersonal and oral presentation skills for effectively presenting training programs to varying groups.
- Proficiency in using multimedia visual aids.
- Strong organizational skills for coordinating the multiple functions and planning of training curriculum and programs.
- Ability to manage time, establish priorities, respond to emergencies and deal with individuals with patience and diplomacy.
- Ability to maintain a service-oriented attitude, remaining poised under pressure.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
