Dave Garraux’s practice focuses on employment discrimination litigation, traditional labor activities, and counseling employers regarding day-to-day employment issues and best practices.
Dave routinely appears before administrative agencies such as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board. Further, Dave regularly handles employment litigation matters, including Title VII, ADEA, ADA, and wage and hour matters, from inception through discovery and disposition.
Dave has successfully partnered with employers to respond to union organizing campaigns, developing both training and comprehensive response strategies to ensure that employers' messages effectively reach their employees during times of increased union organizing activity. Dave has significant experience defending employers against NLRB unfair labor practice charges, brought by employees in both organized and union-free environments.
Dave particularly enjoys his work counseling clients on a wide range of day-to-day employment issues, and regularly advises clients on issues arising under Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, FMLA, and WARN.
When counseling clients, Dave offers employers direct, pragmatic advice to complex employment challenges and focuses on providing cost-effective solutions to real world problems.

Dave was previously a Labor Relations Specialist with ARAMARK, where he prepared responses to SWU organizing campaigns and ULP charges.
While in law school, Dave worked with Duquesne University's Economic & Community Development Clinic, where he was responsible for a variety of non-profit clients' legal needs. He also clerked for an area firm focusing on personal and corporate bankruptcy matters.
