We invite you and your clients to join us for a complimentary seminar focused on the taxation and wealth planning issues that impact our clients most. Our attorneys will discuss the following topics:

Year-End Income, Gift and Estate Tax Planning: Creative Ideas on How To Utilize Last Opportunity of $5 Million Gift and Estate Tax Exemptions
As the clock winds down, a number of short term planning opportunities involving family gifting continue to be available through the remainder of the year. As the amount of the gift tax exemption after December 31, 2012 remains unclear, it is prudent to consider certain planning vehicles to effectively utilize the benefits of the current exemption of $5.12 million while it remains in the law for the next few months. We'll explore gifting strategies to seize the available window on the $5 million exemption from gift and estate tax, while continuing to have funds available, and discuss the exemption's use to reduce the onerous NJ Estate tax, which taxes all estates in excess of $675,000.

Ensuring the Domicile/Residence of Choice
For those planning on migrating to Florida, we'll explore the various issues surrounding domicile and residence. We'll highlight those concepts pertaining to state law and state income, estate and inheritance tax, and will discuss discrepancies between northern states and Florida that can potentially lead to challenging audits and litigation.
