Country Sanctions Programs

July 27, 2011
Fox Rothschild LLP

1 to 2:30 p.m. ET

Fox Rothschild's International Law Practice invites you to join us for the first in our upcoming series of complimentary webinars.

The U.S. government maintains multiple export, import, transactional, financial and other sanctions programs against foreign countries and blocked entities. Currently, sanctions involving Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria are the most important, but there are others. These sanctions programs are enforced by multiple federal government agencies – including the State Department Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and the Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) – under separate regulations.

This webinar will help you understand how these various agencies' sanctions extend jurisdiction over transactions by non-U.S. persons, such as foreign subsidiaries.
