From Russia With Love
Fox Rothschild LLP recently hosted Rabbi Lance Sussman from the Congregation Kenesseth Israel in Elkins Park as he presented “From Russia With Love.” The presentation was held on March 18, 2009, in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
Rabbi Sussman spoke before a group of approximately 30 attendees on the migration of Eastern European Jews to the United States between 1880 and 1924. The presentation was part of his series of Lunch-N-Learn lectures on Judaism in America.
The program was hosted by Fox Rothschild attorneys Ely Goldin and Julia Swain. Goldin, a partner in the firm’s Blue Bell, Montgomery County office, concentrates his practice on business litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters. His practice includes a particular emphasis on serving the business and litigation needs of the Russian immigrant community. Goldin also represents Russian companies and individuals with business interests in the United States.
Swain, who immigrated to the United States from Russia in 1974, concentrates her practice in the area of family law, including divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and abuse. In November 2008, Swain was elected to the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Immigration Aid Service and Council of Philadelphia (HIAS).
