11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Join Fox Rothschild LLP partner Michael S. Harrington for an informal session examining:

• What crowdfunding is and how it will be applicable to you
• Potential ramifications for early-stage companies
• How the SEC may choose to regulate crowdfunding

Overview: The April passage of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act gave life to "crowdfunding"--providing early-stage companies with a potentially revolutionary new way to raise capital. As the name implies, crowdfunding allows companies to raise small amounts of capital from large numbers of investors through the internet and social media. For startups without access to traditional fundraising methods--senior lending, mezzanine lending, venture capital, or other capital sources--crowdfunding could dramatically alter the capital-raising landscape.
