Join the attorneys of Fox Rothschild’s higher education practice and Dr. Kirk Heilbrun, professor in Drexel University’s Department of Psychology, for an exclusive discussion on risk assessment and management practices within higher education.

In this complimentary program, intended for general counsel, deans of students and other university and college leadership who interact with students, Dr. Heilbrun will discuss assessment and management of students, focusing primarily on students who threaten or pose a risk of harm towards others.

The talk will address:

  • Identifying such at-risk students
  • How administrators can assess and pinpoint certain behavior before it happens
  • Best practices for risk management and intervention


Dr. Kirk S. Heilbrun, Ph.D., ABPP

Dr. Heilbrun is a professor of Drexel University’s Department of Psychology, where he previously served as department head for 13 years. He directs the Forensic Clinic in the Drexel Department of Psychology, and his current research focuses on juvenile and adult offenders, legal decision-making, forensic evaluation associated with such decision-making and youth mentoring programs. Dr. Heilbrun is board certified in clinical psychology and in forensic psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. He specializes in violence risk assessment, risk management and interventions to reduce risk.
