Wage and Hour Seminar
Mark E. Tabakman, a partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, will present a “Wage and Hour Seminar” on May 15, 2008. The seminar will be held at Fox Rothschild’s Roseland, New Jersey, office from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m.
The seminar is presented by the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development and the Essex County Employer Council. Tabakman will discuss such topics as classifying employees as exempt or non-exempt, paid time policies, dealing with a DOL audit or inspection, and the advantages of conducting an internal audit.
Tabakman advises clients throughout the country on all aspects of labor relations and employment law, and development of corporate employment policies. His practice is focused on complex employment and labor law issues. He also has a specialty in wage-hour law, including representation of more than 200 clients before the state and federal Departments of Labor and state and federal courts, on issues such as proper payment of overtime, alleged misclassification of employees as exempt and non-exempt, and what constitutes working time.
A frequent guest speaker on employment law issues, Tabakman has appeared on local and national television programs commenting on workplace issues. He is also the author of Fox Rothschild’s Wage & Hour – Developments and Highlights blog, which highlights recent and noteworthy cases and regulations that affect large and small businesses.
