Employers in New Jersey already have to comply with competing leave and benefit laws, which are complicated enough. Governor Chris Christie recently signed a bill expanding the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and requiring employers to provide reasonable accommodations to pregnant employees, which is very similar to a Philadelphia law that was recently passed.
