Gaming equipment manufacturers are increasingly becoming assemblers of a variety of components developed and manufactured by other companies. Casino operators are increasingly relying on backroom software packages that collect and collate customer data from a variety of data bases and are serviced onsite and by offsite help desks operated by the software manufacturers.
