Imraan advises individuals and companies across the spectrum of the entertainment industry — music, film and television, new media, sports and consumer goods. He provides strategic guidance to clients in their business and legal affairs and negotiates an array of transactions and agreements to help his clients realize their professional and business objectives.

His clients include musicians, models, actors, writers and media content producers. Imraan also serves as a day-to-day manager for his clients’ worldwide intellectual property portfolios, overseeing domestic and foreign trademark searches and prosecutions, filing copyright registrations and performing a wide range of due diligence tasks.

Imraan is also well-versed in licensing, including rights acquisition agreements for screenplays and life story rights, film distribution and sales licenses, music synchronization agreements and music recording and publishing contracts with major labels and publishers.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining the firm, Imraan was an attorney at an East Coast-based law firm and a New York entertainment boutique firm. He was also previously an in-house legal fellow with the Screen Actors Guild and a legal intern with Warner Music Group–Atlantic Records.

During law school, Imraan was a member of the Sports, Entertainment & Art Law Society.

Prior to law school, Imraan held several internships in Hollywood with music supervisor Amanda Demme (“Garden State,” “Mean Girls”), Lightstorm Entertainment (“The Terminator,” “Titanic”) and the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. He also interned for the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C.

Imraan is an adjunct professor of media law at William Paterson University, where he covers issues associated with the First Amendment, defamation, privacy rights, intellectual property, censorship and broadcast regulations.
