Biography

A seasoned courtroom veteran and aggressive advocate on behalf of his clients, Jon has more than 30 years of experience resolving disputes involving real estate, construction, design, corporate and partnership dissolutions, employment, business tort and environmental matters. His practical and result-driven style involves providing creative and cost-effective solutions that protect his clients’ interests.

Jon also routinely advises clients on litigation avoidance, advocates creative approaches to dispute resolution and brings a business-oriented approach to solving problems. Jon has a depth of experience in negotiating and documenting contracts for design professionals.

Jon also serves as co-chair of the firm's Architecture, Engineering and Design Professional Firms practice.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Jon was the managing partner of the litigation department at MBV Law LLP and a co-founder of O’Donnell & Pia.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Jon has served as a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Construction Industry Panel and teaches an annual seminar for design professionals called “Taking the Con Out of Contract Negotiations.”

An active member of the community, Jon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco, the Anglican Province of Christ the King and the Cypress Performing Arts Association. He was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of Save San Francisco Bay Association and the Thacher School Development Committee, the chairperson of the Berkeley Schools Excellence Project Planning and Oversight Committee and the President of 2311 Corporation.
