Karen has extensive litigation experience in New Jersey federal district court, where she represents clients in complex litigation and business intellectual property disputes as well as multidistrict litigations, class actions, multiparty actions and nationally coordinated multijurisdictional cases.

Serving as New Jersey litigation counsel for a variety of leading national law firms across the United States, Karen also handles patent actions, copyright and trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation cases.

Karen’s practice also includes New Jersey administrative and regulatory work, including cases before numerous state agencies, the administrative court and the New Jersey Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court. She has represented clients in matters involving state and local contested public contract awards and has assisted in drafting significant pieces of New Jersey legislation and agency regulations. She also counsels clients on contract and regulatory compliance matters.

In the realm of labor and employment, Karen counsels clients on employee benefits, wage and hour law, state and federal leave law and individual and group terminations. She assists employers in drafting employee policies, conducting in-house seminars and training sessions, and negotiating employment contracts and separation agreements.

Before Fox Rothschild

Karen is a former judicial clerk to the Honorable Garrett E. Brown, Jr. (ret.) of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Karen served on the District VII (Mercer County) Ethics Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court, from 2003 to 2007.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Karen is currently a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee for the District of New Jersey and a member of the Local Patent Rules Committee for the District of New Jersey. She has served on two merit selection committees for the selection and reappointment of federal magistrate judges.

Karen is the past president and 15 year member of the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Trenton/Ewing, a nonprofit service organization that delivers meals to the homebound.
