Biography

With a background and practical work experience in the health care field, Muthuramanan “Ramana” Rameswaran represents clients in a wide variety of corporate and health law-related matters, including physician and mid-level employment, consulting services, contract pharmacy arrangements, the 340B discount program, student and resident affiliations, clinical trials, graduate medical education, HIPAA, billing/payor issues, software licensing, commercial real estate, confidentiality, consumable purchases, and equipment purchases and leases. He also advises clients on policies and procedures as well as corporate governance.

Ramana previously attended Temple University School of Medicine and completed course work and clinical rotations toward a medical degree.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox, Ramana was an attorney in the Temple University Health System, Inc. and special counsel for Avantor Performance Materials, a performance materials manufacturer for chemicals in the electronics and life sciences industry.

During law school, he was Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society and Captain of the national award winning Transactional Lawyering team.

Before attending law school, Ramana was a biotechnician at Merck Sharpe & Dohme, working with vaccines.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Ramana is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section, serving on its Governing Council, as the Young Lawyer Division Liaison, Vice Chair of its In-House Counsel Group, and Chair of its Scholarship Committee.

In the community, Ramana has long been involved in the Uwchlan Ambulance Corps. He currently serves as a member of its board of directors and advises on governance matters. He previously served as UAC’s Assistant Chief, and was responsible for command decisions. Ramana has developed curriculums and extensively lectured to EMS professionals on a variety of topics including EMS Management, patient documentation, medical-legal ethics, effective communications, human anatomy, and more.
