A skilled mediator and arbitrator, Mary represents clients in a variety of health care law, commercial litigation, employment law and general business transactional matters. She parlays her experience as both outside and inside counsel to efficiently resolve complex matters.
Mary is a certified mediator with additional training in health care mediation. She serves on the AAA Commercial Arbitration Panel, the American Health Lawyers Association Neutral Panel, the FINRA Arbitration Panel, the Neutral Panel for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Intermediation Panel, which is designed to resolve patient disputes through mediation with third-party facilitation.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox, Mary was the founding partner of a law firm in New York. She also previously served as senior associate counsel and associate counsel for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she supervised litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Mary was previously an attorney at several national law firms, handing an array of both litigation and employment law matters.
While in college, Mary spent a semester abroad at Westfield College of the University of London.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
Mary volunteers for New York Cares, which provides SAT prep tutoring services for disadvantaged teens as well as career preparation and arts projects for children. She formerly served as president of the Neighborhood Legal Services Association, president of Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR), first vice president and board member of the Girl Scouts of Southwestern Pennsylvania, co-vice president and board member of the Dance Alloy, board member and officer of the Mary Miller Dance Company and chair of the Wellesley Club of Pittsburgh.
Mary is also extensively involved in pro bono representations regarding child custody conciliations and protection from abuse proceedings.
Mary previously served by appointment to the hearing committee of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board.
