New Jersey's State Board of Public Utilities' clean energy program will undergo a $158 million cut, raising concerns the state's reputation as a home for green energy will be damaged.

Steven Goldenberg, attorney for the New Jersey Large Energy Users Coalition, said his clients expect the budget cuts to stall their clean energy programs. Goldenberg said the budget cuts will adversely affect cogeneration projects that can produce lower-cost energy and are an economic development tool.
