In a recent case, the Community College of Philadelphia won $5.5 million because the contracted architectural firm used unlicensed, inexperienced workers to complete a new building for the school.

The final price was more than 50 percent higher than the projected total, which the architectural firm blames on the design firm involved.

According to the plaintiff, the project was finally completed late and very overbudget.
