June 29, 2015 – Press Releases

The national law firm of Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that it is once again an approved law firm by the California State Treasurer’s Office. Participation in the Pool is determined by the Office of California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer. A comprehensive review of the firm’s capabilities by the State’s Public Finance Division is required for admission into the Pool, which will result in bond and other transactional work for the State.

“We’re delighted to again have the opportunity to participate in the Pool and bring to bear the substantial experience we have for the benefit of California,” said Mark Levinson, a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, co-chair of the Financial Services Industry Practice Group and leader of the firm’s Public Finance Practice in California.

Levinson also noted that “Our Public Finance Group routinely participates in general obligation, revenue and conduit bonds across a range of revenue types.”

Levinson represents investment banks, issuers, financial institutions and other parties in a range of financings including infrastructure, affordable housing, CFD and other financings utilizing bond or certificate of participation structures. He acts as bond and underwriter's counsel, credit and liquidity provider's counsel and indenture trustee's counsel and provides securities law, financing, real estate and bond counsel guidance.

Fox guides clients through a range of financing alternatives and techniques, including new market tax credits, low income housing tax credits and state historic tax credit purchases.
