Carol Thorstad-Forsyth Named Among Lawyers ‘On the Rise’ by Daily Business Review

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Carol E. Thorstad-Forsyth, who was recognized by the Daily Business Review as a young lawyer “On the Rise.”

The award highlights those attorneys who have demonstrated leadership in their practice, workplace and community. Thorstad-Forsyth will be honored at the publication’s Professional Excellence awards event on May 24.

Thorstad-Forsyth, a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice, provides guidance on the protection of intellectual property to clients that include major defense contractors and market leaders in global communications, consumer goods and network/software solutions. As an attorney with a degree in electrical engineering, she is adept at handling all stages of patent work — application preparation and prosecution — related to software, electronic and mechanical innovative ideas or inventions. She also handles patent search studies, infringement studies, patentability or (in)validity studies and freedom-to-operate studies.

Active in the community, Thorstad-Forsyth is Chair of the Women in IP Law Outreach Subcommittee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), as well as the founder and co-chair of AIPLA Cares Women In IP National Community Service Event. She was awarded the 2015 Project Award by AIPLA for her commitment to globally expanding the Women in IP Law Committee’s yearly Networking Event.

Thorstad-Forsyth is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) - Palm Beach Chapter and serves on the DAR Scholarship Committee.
