Carolyn D. Richmond of Fox Rothschild LLP Named One of Crain’s New York Business’s “Forty Under 40”April 1, 2009
Carolyn D. Richmond, a partner and co-chair of the Hospitality Practice at Fox Rothschild LLP, has been named as one of Crain’s New York Business’s “Forty Under 40.”
Each year, Crain's New York Business selects 40 outstanding individuals who have made a major impact in their respective industries before the age of 40. Former winners include professional actors and athletes, presidents and CEOs of major Fortune 500 companies, and high ranking political figures, including Brian Williams, Andrea Jung, Kate Spade and Jeff Zucker.
Richmond, who resides in the firm’s New York office, focuses her practice on representing and counseling clients in the hospitality industry, financial services, retail and manufacturing sectors on a variety of labor and employment matters. In particular, Richmond has extensive experience in matters including wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, EEO litigation, workplace counseling, union avoidance and e-workplace issues.
Richmond is a prolific writer and often is a guest speaker at legal conferences and industry events on various labor and employment-related topics. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Hospitality Research at Cornell University and the Board of Editorial Advisors for Hospitality Law. Richmond also serves as an appointed Board Member and employment counsel to the New York City Chapter of the New York State Restaurant Association, and is a member of the Alumni Board of Directors for Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Richmond has also testified before a variety of New York State and City governmental agencies and departments concerning issues that adversely affect New York’s hospitality industry.
