Charles De Monaco and Kimberly Behling Join Fox Rothschild in Pittsburgh

December 18, 2008

Fox Rothschild LLP has announced that Charles A. De Monaco – former Department of Justice lawyer who was lead counsel in the federal criminal prosecution of the massive 1989 Exxon Valdez Alaska oil spill – and Kimberly H. Behling have joined the firm's Pittsburgh office.

The practice of De Monaco and Behling adds a multimillion-dollar securities, environmental, corporate compliance and white collar litigation practice to Fox Rothschild, which is known as a commercial litigation powerhouse locally and nationwide.

Fox Rothschild, which entered the Pittsburgh market in 2002 by merging with Kabala & Geeseman, now has more than 25 lawyers in Pittsburgh and 450 lawyers practicing firmwide in 14 offices coast to coast.

"The ability to attract a national practice of Chuck De Monaco's caliber reflects Fox Rothschild's diversified service mix and conservative fiscal strength, especially in light of the weakened economy," said Jay D. Marinstein, litigator and Fox Rothschild's office managing partner in Pittsburgh. "De Monaco and Behling will use the firm's platform to expand their practice in ways they could not before and broaden our firm's litigation capabilities in this region."

De Monaco and Behling join Fox Rothschild from Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C.

He obtained his law degree from Ohio Northern University in 1974.

About Behling - Behling focuses her expertise on securities litigation and director and officer liability. She received her law degree from Duquesne University in 1998.
