Fox Rothschild is pleased to announce that Christopher J. Pippett has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate Department, resident in the Exton, Pa. office.
“Chris is a welcome addition to our Chester County office and an asset to our Corporate Department,” said Michael Harrington, managing partner of the firm’s Chester County office and chair of the firm’s Corporate Department. “His knowledge of banking and finance law and his experience in representing financial institutions in regulatory, lending and workout issues adds to the depth of services we provide clients.”
Pippett focuses his practice in the areas of banking, finance, corporate and real estate law. His representations include banks, credit unions and mezzanine lenders in regulatory, lending and workout issues as well as local and national commercial real estate owners in sales and acquisitions and commercial leasing transactions.
He advises businesses and owners in the start up, funding and continued financing, expansion and sale of business ventures. Pippett also counsels clients in resolving delicate corporate governance issues.
Pippett is a member of the American Bar Association and its Business Law Section, Credit Union Committee, as well as its Corporate Governance Subcommittee, where he serves as vice chair. He is also a member of the Business Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association as well as of the Delaware County and Chester County bar associations.
Beyond his legal memberships, Pippett is a member of the Chester County Advisory Board of Red Cross’ Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter and co-chair of its Golf Committee. He also serves as president of the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Chester County.
Pippett earned his LL.M. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 1987, his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1985 and his B.A. from Villanova University in 1981. Prior to joining the firm, Chris was a partner at Saul Ewing LLP.
