Couples Including Social Media Clauses in Prenuptial AgreementsJune 16, 2014 – In The News
Aaron Weems was quoted in the CBS New York article “Couples Including Social Media Clauses in Prenuptial Agreements.” While the full text can be found on CBS New York’s website, a synopsis is noted below.
Weems told WCBS 880 that couples are determining how they would deal with electronic media – files, photos, videos – accumulated during their marriages. He also noted that it is not just celebrities who are concerned about their online profiles.
“The reality is it could impact a teacher, a police officer, a government employee, the interior designer whose entire brand is built around her name,” Weems said.
He also said, “I think what we’re seeing are that the people that might be interested in it tend to skew to younger age brackets, but I think it’s relevant for all people.”
