Mette H. Kurth was featured in The San Diego Union Tribune article, “CVS Gets Third Fresh & Easy Store.” Full text can be found in the December 31, 2015, issue, but a synopsis is below.

The chain of grocery stores known as Fresh & Easy is in the process selling their assets after the company filed for bankruptcy in 2015. Fresh & Easy has 8 locations remaining in the San Diego area after selling certain stores to companies such as CVS and OA Partners.

Fox Rothschild’s Mette Kurth, who is representing seven unsecured creditors, said the continued selling of hard assets and reviewing other claims will carry over to 2016.

“The creditors are actively involved because we want to make sure (Fresh & Easy) maximizes the value of what’s being liquidated and what’s being recovered,” she said.
