Darrell Miller and Lori Landew Named to Variety’s 2015 Dealmakers Impact Report

The coveted list features the entertainment industry’s top professionals behind Hollywood’s biggest deals in 2015. According to Variety, “These showbiz movers build models for the new Hollywood. Mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, financings and settlements are all arrows in the quiver of these power players.”

This marks the third consecutive year that Miller has been selected to be on the list.

Miller, who serves as chair of Fox’s nationwide Entertainment Department and office managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles offices, together with his bicoastal team of entertainment attorneys, has built an extremely successful full-service entertainment law practice representing celebrities, top executives and major corporate clients. He personally transformed the careers of many entertainers and remains a trusted adviser to stars who credit him as a central factor in their enduring success, including Academy Award®-nominated actress Angela Bassett, rapper/actor Chris "Ludacris" Bridges and producer and best-selling author TD Jakes, among others.

Miller has earned numerous accolades for his work with many of Hollywood’s top-tier entertainment professionals. As a testament to his effective brand-building strategies, Savoy Magazine recognized him as part of its 2015 Most Influential Black Lawyers List, and the Los Angeles Daily Journal profiled him among California’s top entertainment lawyers in its 2015 Entertainment Law Supplement. Additionally, he was the recipient of the University of Cincinnati’s Kautz Alumni Masters Forum Award. He has also been named a California Super Lawyer.

Landew, a partner with the firm, has more than 25 years of experience providing legal and consulting services to clients in the media and entertainment industries, primarily in the areas of music, television, film, fashion, publishing and sports. Having previously served as a top executive for successful global entertainment companies, Landew uses her knowledge and experience to provide advice and counsel to major and independent music, film and television production companies, including Sony Music, Warner Bros. Records, 11-7 Recording Corp., BMG Rights Management, QVC and Stage 3 Productions, to name a few. She also represents top executives personally in their dealings with major studios and productions companies, including Comcast/NBCUniversal, and has negotiated talent and production agreements with top networks such as A&E, AMC, Discovery, Disney, Oxygen, Scripps, The Travel Channel and the Food Network. On the talent side, Landew represents many high-profile individuals, including top fashion model Ashley Graham, and also focuses on representing youth entertainers across all media platforms.
