Scott Vernick was quoted in the article, “Ediscovery profoundly changing lawyering,” by Chris Mondics. The article appeared in the June 8, 2008, edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The article focuses on the changes that have developed since the enactment of new federal standards that require lawyers and clients to “handle e-mail, spread sheets and other electronic information just as they would…paper records.”

Said Vernick, “the objective of defense attorneys should be to get a sense of how much information might be subject to discovery and where it is in the company’s infrastructure.”

“There are consequences when stuff goes missing,” he said.
