Elizabeth D. Sigety Works Pro Bono on Behalf of East Side House Settlement

Elizabeth D. Sigety, partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, has been actively involved with the East Side House Settlement, based in New York, for years. What began with a seat on the board of directors has evolved into a working relationship where she provides pro bono assistance on the organization’s most prestigious benefit events.

Sigety assists with corporate contracts and other legal issues surrounding East Side’s Winter Antiques Show and the preview party for the New York International Auto Show.

While a member of organization’s board, Sigety founded the Young Collectors Night event, which takes places at East Side’s Winter Antiques Show at the Park Avenue Armory, NYC and sat on the Winter Antiques Show committee for many years.

East Side House is a community-based organization in the South Bronx that works with schools, community centers and other partners to bring quality education and resources to residents in the area. Recognizing education as the key to economic and civic opportunity, the organization helps approximately 8,000 individuals improve their lives each year with programs ranging from basic literacy to specialized technology training.

Active within the Bucks County community, Sigety served as a board member of Doylestown Hospital, the Doylestown Health Foundation and the Village Improvement Association, Doylestown, PA for over a decade through 2014 and continues to serve as a pro bono legal advisor to the board of The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown, PA, the parent board of the Doylestown Hospital Health System.

Chair of the firm’s Franchising, Licensing & Distribution Group and co-chair of the Tech & Venture Finance Group, Sigety focuses her practice on a wide variety of franchise, licensing, distribution, finance, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters. For more than 25 years, Sigety has been a trusted adviser to clients, from startup companies to large private and public companies.

Co-founder and co-chair or the Philadelphia Women's Franchise Network and member of the Women’s Franchise Committee of the International Franchise Association, Sigety is frequent speaker and writer, especially on issues facing franchises and emerging businesses. She is also a constant contributor to the firm’s Franchise Law Update Blog and Emerging Companies Insider Blog. Additionally, she has worked with the Professional Athlete’s Franchise Initiative supporting Fox Rothschild’s role as a charter member of that organization.

Sigety received her B.A., cum laude, from Yale College in 1986 and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
