Elizabeth G. Litten, partner in the Princeton office of Fox Rothschild LLP, is currently serving on the steering committee for the 2012 NJ Governor’s Conference for Women to be held May 7-8 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Fox Rothschild will also serve as a sponsor at the event.
The conference aims to bring women together from different industries to inspire, motivate and educate other women in the state. Educational and motivational sessions in such areas as career development, personal finance, healthy living, business startups and leadership will be held throughout the day. Litten, named as one of the leading health care attorneys in New Jersey by Chambers USA, focuses her practice on New Jersey regulatory issues with a concentration in health law, corporate and government relations. With more than 20 years’ experience in the health care industry as an attorney and a lobbyist, Litten works closely with the executive and legislative branches in developing health care policy and advocating health care regulations and legislation affecting the state’s providers, payers and consumers. She has broad experience with representing New Jersey hospitals, physicians, ambulatory care facilities and other New Jersey-licensed providers and payers on a wide spectrum of managed care, certificate of need, licensing, reimbursement and compliance issues as well as counseling clients on federal health care issues.
Litten is a prominent author and speaker on topics including charitable care matters, health care reform, HIPAA/HITECH and more. She currently serves as editor of The Garden State Focus and contributes to the firm’s HIPAA, HITECH, & HIT blog , which provides cutting-edge information regarding the handling and sharing of health care information.
Litten served on the board of directors of the New Jersey Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association and is the recipient of its 2010 Annual President’s Award. She serves on the executive committee of the Association of Corporate Wellness, as a trustee and board member of the Evergreens Continuing Care Retirement Community and on the advisory board of CareKinesis, Inc. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden in 1990 and her B.A. from Vassar College in 1987.
