February 14, 2017 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Partner Emily J. Yukich, who was honored among the 2017 Women of Influence by L.A. Biz.

The annual list recognizes women who have made an impact both professionally and in the Los Angeles community. Honorees are noted for mentoring, working with nonprofit organizations and pursuing charitable endeavors.

Yukich serves as president of the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA), which provides member forums where entrepreneurs and executives of startup, emerging growth and late stage venture-funded companies can connect with fellow executives, investors, bankers, financial advisers and other providers of professional services.

Yukich is also a member of LAVA’s board, and in 2011 was a founder of Women in LAVA, a strategic interest group focused on the specific needs of women entrepreneurs seeking seed or venture financing.

In her legal practice at Fox, Yukich handles business formation, planning and restructuring for her clients and works with startups on strategy and early-stage funding as well as with existing companies on growth and acquisition financing. She also represents clients in mergers, acquisitions and other general commercial transactions and advises on corporate governance matters. Yukich serves as outside general counsel to numerous clients, advising on day-to-day legal matters and assisting with contract negotiation, leasing and brand protection.

Yukich is the past co-editor of the firm’s Emerging Companies Insider blog, which focuses on recent and developing areas of the law affecting startup and emerging growth companies and their investors.
