August 25, 2016 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Emily J. Yukich, a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has been elected president of the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA).

Since 1985, LAVA has been providing member forums where entrepreneurs and executives of startup, emerging growth and late stage venture-funded companies can connect with fellow executives, investors, bankers, financial advisers and other providers of professional services.

Yukich is an active member of LAVA’s board and in 2011 was one of the founders of Women in LAVA, a strategic interest group focused on the specific needs of women entrepreneurs seeking seed or venture financing.

At Fox, Yukich handles business formation, planning and restructuring for her clients and works with startups on strategy and early-stage funding as well as with existing companies on growth and acquisition financing. She also handles mergers, acquisitions and other general commercial transactions and provides advice on corporate governance matters. Yukich serves as outside general counsel to a number of clients, advising on day-to-day legal matters and assisting with contract negotiation, leasing and brand protection.

Yukich serves as co-editor of the firm’s Emerging Companies Insider blog, which focuses on recent and developing areas of the law affecting startup and emerging growth companies and their investors.

Yukich earned her J.D. from University of Southern California Law School and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Kenyon College.
