Jonathan R. Lagarenne was featured in the Law360 article, “Former Fox Rothschild IP Partner Returns To Firm.” Full text can be found in the January 13, 2016, issue, but a synopsis is below.

Fox Rothschild has expanded its Intellectual Property Department in the firm’s Denver office with the return of Jonathan Lagarenne.

Lagarenne has significant experience in developing, enforcing and defending intellectual property rights. He previously held a partner position at the firm from 2005 to 2012 and will be entering again with the same title.

Lagarenne recently spoke with Law360 and said that he was attracted to Fox’s entrepreneurial spirit, its collegiality and the fact that the firm has a national footprint and broad practice.

“My practice is focused on small and midsize companies that have issues related to intellectual property, though I also do patent-related work for the pharmaceutical industry, primarily litigation focused,” he said.

Lagarenne said that he is an intellectual property generalist, doing transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, licensing, sale of technologies and engineered products as well as patent, copyright trademark and trade secret litigation. Most of his clients, he said, are companies that work in the energy and power generation area, providing green technologies, adding that he also has had some software compliance and various other early-stage companies trying to exploit new technologies.

Rick J. Rubin, managing partner of the Denver office, said that the firm is excited to welcome Lagarenne to the office and the team.

“With nearly 30 years of experience handling complex intellectual property matters, including related commercial transactions, Jonathan’s addition to the firm strategically expands the breadth of services we offer to our clients in Denver,” Rubin said.
