Yesenia M. Gallegos, Southern California Regional President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and partner with Fox Rothschild LLP will be honored with the “Regional President of the Year” award at the HNBA Annual Convention, held in Washington, DC on September 10, 2014.
Appointed Regional President for Southern California in 2013, Gallegos has focused her attention on stimulating HNBA membership in Southern California, and vetting judicial candidates in her region seeking the HNBA’s endorsement. Gallegos also chaired the most successful HNBA Annual Charity Tennis and Golf Classic to date, which took place in Los Angeles and benefited the HNBA Legal Education Fund (LEF).
As an employment litigator and counselor, Gallegos represents clients in trade secret and non-compete litigation, wage and hour class actions, and in lawsuits involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation. She provides routine advice and counseling to legal and human resources departments, and represents employers in government investigations and administrative charges and appeals arising from citations or audits initiated by the EEOC, DFEH, EDD, OSHA and the California Labor Commissioner’s office. Gallegos also co-chairs Fox Rothschild’s Diversity Initiative, which promotes the recruitment, retention and advancement of diverse attorneys within the firm.
The HNBA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, national membership organization committed to representing the interests of Hispanic legal professionals in the United States. The HNBA is the nation’s chief proponent for Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants, law students and other legal professionals.
