Fox’s Randall Sidlosca Speaks at Miami EB-5 Regional Center Housing SummitJuly 31, 2015 – Press Releases
Fox Rothschild LLP Partner Randall Sidlosca recently spoke at the Miami EB-5 Regional Center Housing Summit on creating affordable housing utilizing EB-5 capital.
Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado delivered the opening remarks at the summit stating that affordable housing is the number one issue residents contact his office about.
One way to utilize EB-5 funds to better the city would be the creation of more mixed-use buildings.
According to Sidlosca, “Building affordable housing as part of a mixed-use ‘village’ would make it financially viable for EB-5 investors and conventional lenders…and adding retail and health uses to a project would help meet the permanent job creation requirements that Congress is considering for the program.”
EB-5 is set to expire in September of this year, but Sidlosca, along with the other city officials and lawyers at the summit, expect Congress to vote to extend the program.
At Fox, Sidlosca’s practice encompasses all areas of immigration law, with an emphasis on employment-based immigration matters. With more than 20 years of experience, he represents clients in matters related to immigrant and non-immigrant visas, labor certification and priority worker petitions, dependent visas and employment authorization for spouses.
Sidlosca has a particular focus on EB-5 matters, advising both businesses seeking EB-5 financing from foreign investors as well as representing foreign investors who want to obtain permanent residence in the United States by making an EB-5 investment.
