Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Sandra A. Romaszewski has been named a recipient of the 2015 PBA Special Achievement Award, in recognition of her outstanding commitment to, and efforts in support of, the Wills for Heroes Program.
Through the program, which is co-sponsored by the PBA’s Young Lawyers Division, Romaszewski provides free basic estate planning services to first responders, including firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, correctional officers, probation officers and other public service providers, as well as to Pennsylvania’s military veterans.
Romaszewski and this year’s other Special Achievement Award recipients will be honored at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Annual Meeting on Friday, May 8, at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel.
Romaszewski, who has volunteered with Wills for Heroes for more than five years, serves as the program’s coordinator for both Bucks and Delaware Counties and also assists in running the program statewide. In addition to this most recent honor, in 2013, her work with Wills for Heroes was recognized with the Verdina Y. Showell Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Wills for Heroes Foundation.
A senior associate in the Corporate Department, Romaszewski is based in Fox’s Bucks County office. Her practice focuses on M&A and other corporate transactions, and general corporate, international and insurance regulatory matters. She has been named one of the leading corporate attorneys in Pennsylvania for four consecutive years by Chambers USA (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
Romaszewski’s volunteer efforts go beyond Wills for Heroes. She is active in her local community, serving as a director for the Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club; a trustee for Philadelphia’s Henry Reed Hatfield Nicetown Playground; and as a director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, which recognized her dedication to the organization with its Alumni Honoree Award in 2012. She is also a member of the Paralegal Studies Program Advisory Committee at Peirce College in Philadelphia. Romaszewski also holds various leadership positions within Fox’s Bucks County office and the firm.
