Fox Rothschild’s Jordan Receives Women of Achievement AwardMarch 7, 2011 – Press Releases
Susan Foreman Jordan, a partner and co-chair of the Employee Benefits and Compensation Planning practice group of the law firm of Fox Rothschild in Pittsburgh, was named one of 24 of Pittsburgh’s “most notable women” at the recent 6th Annual Celebrate & Share, Women of Achievement Awards Dinner. Funds raised from the event will benefit Cribs for Kids® Infant Safe Sleep Initiative.
The Women of Achievement Awards highlights the women of Pittsburgh who “contribute greatly to the successes and advancement of the city,” and is held each March to observe Women’s History Month. Fox Rothschild was one of this year’s event sponsors. Celebrate & Share, co-founded by Bonnie DiCarlo and JoAnn Forrester, raises funds for organizations which focus on the needs of women and children in the community.
Cribs for Kids® was founded in 1998 in Pittsburgh by Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala, Jr.; Cribs for Kids® Executive Director Judith Bannon; the late Mayor Bob O’Connor and the late Commander Gwen Elliott. Since its inception, the incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in the area has declined by 50%, and the Program not only has expanded throughout Pennsylvania but now has more than 250 partners in 47 states. Every $50 raised will provide a crib for a baby in need and safe sleep education for that baby’s family in an effort to reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to unsafe sleep environments.
