Fox Rothschild’s Sarah Beth Johnson Appointed to Casino Reinvestment Development Authority’s Tourism Advisory CommissionJuly 12, 2011 – Press Releases
Sarah Beth Johnson of Fox Rothschild’s Atlantic City office was recently appointed to the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority’s (CRDA) Tourism Advisory Commission. Johnson was one of nine members tapped to serve on the commission during the CRDA’s June board meeting.
Johnson and fellow commission members will be responsible for reviewing the CRDA’s annual budget as well as plans concerning the Atlantic City Tourism District. The group is also charged with making recommendations for the development and implementation of the Tourism District Master Plan, which is slated to be adopted by CRDA by February 1, 2012.
Early this year, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie signed The Tourism District Law, requiring the CRDA to establish a commission to advise the board.
Johnson, an Atlantic City resident, is active in her community, serving on the Board of Trustees for The Alcove Center for Grieving Children and the Workforce Investment Board for Atlantic and Cape May Counties. She also volunteers as a Special Civil Part mediator for the Atlantic County Superior Court and has been pro-bono counsel to Covenant House Atlantic City. Johnson is also the Conflict Prosecutor for Hammonton, New Jersey. She previously served on the Executive Board of the Atlantic City Jaycees and is a former member of the Atlantic County Special Services School Board.
At Fox Rothschild, Johnson focuses her practice on all aspects of labor and employment law, including sexual harassment, employment discrimination, and other workplace disputes. Johnson also routinely represents hospitals in internal fair hearings and related litigation arising from disputes regarding physician credentialing and discipline.
Johnson earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2005. She earned her B.A. from Brown University in 1998.
