Daniel V. Madrid, attorney in the Princeton office of Fox Rothschild LLP, was recently elected Chairman of the Montgomery Township Economic Development Commission for 2012 by his fellow board members on January 24. Madrid began serving on the board in 2009 when he was appointed by the Mayor.

The Economic Development Commission is a non-partisan advisory board created to analyze the economic development of the region and promote sound development practices. It is responsible for mobilizing the potential resources of Montgomery Township for efficient commercial, office and economic development uses and conducting a thorough study of the basic economic advantages of the Township.

Madrid is an experienced commercial real estate attorney with a broad transactional and land development background. He represents large and middle market companies in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties as well as borrowers, banks, private lenders and financial institutions on traditional, securitized and tax credit financing transactions. Madrid is well-versed in the federal New Markets Tax Credit and New Jersey Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit and Economic Redevelopment Growth Grant programs and has recently authored an article on the Grow New Jersey Assistance Program. Madrid was a member of the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce Young Business Leaders Council in 2009 and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Corporate Growth for the Philippine American Friendship Committee, Inc..
