Fox Rothschild’s Daniel V. Madrid Presents Webinar on New Jersey’s Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit

Daniel V. Madrid, an attorney in the Princeton office of Fox Rothschild LLP, recently presented the CLE Lunch and Learn webinar “Putting New Jersey Back in Business: The Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit Program.”

The webinar focused on the Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit Act (UTHCA), which was enacted to spur economic development by providing tax credits to developers and businesses that make capital investments in, and increase employment around, targeted urban rail transit hubs in nine New Jersey cities. They discussed the requirements and procedures necessary for applicants to qualify for the credit and provided examples of how existing companies as well as companies looking to relocate to the state could put the credit to use.

Madrid is an experienced commercial real estate attorney with a broad transactional and land development background. He represents large and middle market companies in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties as well as borrowers, banks, private lenders and financial institutions on traditional and securitized loan transactions. Madrid has developed experience in documenting and closing tax credit transactions and has advised companies on the use of the Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit, the New Markets Tax Credit and New Jersey Economic Redevelopment Growth Grants. He also has substantial experience in filing and prosecuting land development applications with municipal planning and zoning boards.

Madrid received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2003, where he was the Associate Editor of Articles for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, and his B.A. from The College of New Jersey, 1999.
