Fox Rothschild has added D. French Slaughter as a partner in the taxation and wealth planning department of the firm's Washington, DC office. Slaughter will advise clients in a variety of industries on federal, state and local taxation matters.

With an expanding DC office and tax practice, Slaughter is excited about joining the firm.

"It was a good fit," he said.

Slaughter will devote the majority of his practice there to business tax at both the federal and state level, incorporating areas such as mergers and acquisitions and focusing on corporations, partnerships and real estate investment trusts. He will also continue to work in the unclaimed property area.

“French’s addition is a strategic expansion of our tax and unclaimed property services to clients in the region and nationwide,” said Dirk D. Haire, managing partner of the firm's DC office. “French’s 20-plus years of experience handling a variety of tax policy, tax controversy and unclaimed property matters adds significant depth to the capabilities of our office and the practice.”
