Fox Rothschild Adds Tax and Trusts Trio in San Francisco

Continuing the growth of its San Francisco office, Fox Rothschild LLP announced the addition of three attorneys to its Taxation and Wealth Planning practice from an established Bay Area firm.

Peter S. Myers and Sean R. Kenney will join as partners and Matthew R. Mraule will join as an associate from Myers Kenney P.C., a firm that focused on estate planning, trust administration, business planning and charitable giving.

Myers and Kenney will continue to offer their popular educational seminars and training courses for consumers, attorneys, business owners, accountants and other related professionals, including the annual Fiduciary Attorney Summit in Lake Tahoe and the Review Course for the Exam to Become a California Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.

Peter S. Myers is certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization. He frequently writes and teaches in the areas of estate planning and family business entities. He has authored and published treatises, books and articles, regularly speaking throughout the country on topics of interest to families and their advisers, as well as at conventions of professionals. His practice centers on guiding individuals and families who need a reliable relationship with a caring, experienced lawyer who will assist them in times of greatest personal opportunity, life event or crisis.

Myers received his B.A. from American University and his law degree from Hastings College of Law. He is the executive editor of the book Business Succession Planning: Strategies for California Estate Planners and Business Attorneys, published by Continuing Education of the Bar-California. He was also an adjunct faculty member at Golden Gate University, San Francisco campus.

Sean R. Kenney concentrates his practice in the areas of trusts and estates, business succession and taxation. A frequent speaker on tax law and business succession issues, he is also a contributor to treatises published by Continuing Education of the Bar-California, all of which relate to business succession and planning.

He earned his B.A. in philosophy and economics at the University of Vermont and his J.D. at Golden Gate University School of Law, where he received a specialization certificate in taxation with distinction. In law school, Kenney was awarded the Faculty Award in Taxation, presented to one student in each graduating class.

Matthew R. Mraule focuses his practice on litigation of matters in trust, estate, conservatorship, powers of attorney, and elder abuse. Additionally, Mraule counsels beneficiaries and fiduciaries through trust and estate administration. He has been named as a Rising Star in Superlawyers magazine in the area of estate and trust litigation since 2013. Before he began the practice of law, he was a clerk for the Honorable Nat A. Agliano, formerly the Presiding Judge of the California Court of Appeals, Sixth District. While in law school, Mraule was a clerk with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in a felony trials unit. While there, he assisted in the formation of the L.A. County’s Victims’ Restitution Department, and participated in an externship at a wine interstate shipping compliance company in Napa.

Mraule received his J.D. from Pepperdine University in 2007 and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management in 2005. He earned a B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from University of California at Davis in 2002.
