Fox Rothschild Attorney Appointed to Eastern Technology Council’s Strategic Advisory Board

Fox Rothschild LLP today announced that Michael S. Harrington, Esq., has been appointed to the Eastern Technology Council’s newly formed Strategic Advisory Board. Harrington, a partner in Fox Rothschild’s Corporate and Tax/Estates Departments will serve as one of eight members of a prestigious executive group formed to advise the Council CEO and Council Board of Directors.

Harrington, based in Fox Rothschild’s Chester County office, is the youngest Office Managing Partner (OMP) in the history of the firm which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2007. He specializes in providing legal and business counsel to early and middle stage growth, technology and life science companies in areas including corporate finance, private equity, mergers, acquisitions, securities and taxation. He advises investors on structuring, negotiating and managing their investments and represents private equity funds in matters related to raising capital.

Harrington’s background will serve him well as a member of the Strategic Advisory Board. This elite group’s responsibilities will include analyzing the Eastern Technology Counsel’s initiatives and challenges, building the organization’s professional and financial resources, and serving as a nexus to stimulate future growth. In addition, the group will work to create greater overall awareness of the organization and enhance member connectivity through innovative communications.

Harrington is a founding member of the firm’s Technology and Venture Finance Practice Group and is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations. He is also actively involved with the Lionville Community YMCA, serving on the Board of Directors.

Harrington graduated from Villanova University School of Law with a J.D. in 1994 and an LL.M. in Taxation in 1995. While at Villanova, he was awarded the James J. Manderino Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and was a Moot Court Board member. He also frequently lectures at his alma mater on the topics of private equity, venture capital and other issues pertaining to emerging growth companies. Harrington graduated summa cum laude from Niagara University in 1991, with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Finance.
