New York, NY – Fox Rothschild LLP welcomes three new attorneys to its New York City office: Daniel F Coughlin, Ph.D., Esq., a Partner in its Corporate Department; Darryll A. Buford, Esq. a Partner in its Labor and Employment Department; Eduardo J. Diaz, Esq., an associate in its Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Department. With these additions, the firm’s New York office has grown to 25 attorneys since the opening of Fox Rothschild’s New York office two years ago.
Coughlin is a member of the firm's Corporate Department and the Intellectual Property Group. He has extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property law, across a wide range of technical disciplines. His practice includes the representation of pharmaceutical clients in protecting and obtaining patents for drug products, as well as assisting those clients on patent issues arising from the FDA approval process. Coughlin’s practice also involves representing clients in patent litigation arising under the Hatch-Waxman statutory scheme for the approval of both branded and generic drug products. During the course of his career, Coughlin has built a global practice, counseling both domestic and international clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and technology industries on the protection of intellectual property.
Buford’s practice involves a wide range of civil litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on employment law issues, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
Diaz represents parties in all aspects of bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, creditors and interest holders, automatic stay litigation, contested asset sales. He also represents parties in general commercial litigation matters, including derivative shareholder suits, and contested employment agreements.
