Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that experienced tax practitioner Stanley Barsky has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Taxation and Wealth Planning Department.

His addition is a strategic expansion of our transactional and general advisory tax law services to clients in the region.”
Barsky is the latest lateral to join the firm’s New York office, which has recently welcomed Barry S. Schaevitz, William R. Hansen, Bridget A. Short, Paul J. Labov and Suzanna M. M. Morales in recent months.
Barsky’s practice involves a broad range of transactional and general advisory tax law matters. He regularly represents clients in connection with taxable and tax-free acquisitions and dispositions of assets and equity interests and also regularly advises clients on bankruptcy tax planning, taxation of consolidated groups, international tax matters, partnership tax matters and tax accounting.
As part of his practice, Barsky regularly drafts and negotiates tax-related provisions of various documents, including purchase agreements and merger agreements, distribution agreements relating to tax-free spin-offs and split-offs, tax sharing agreements, LLC agreements, SEC registration statements, shareholder information statements, bankruptcy disclosure statements and liquidating trust agreements.
Barsky received his LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 2007, his J.D., cum laude, from University of Miami School of Law in 2006 and his B.S. from Vanderbilt University in 2003.
He was included in Super Lawyers’ New York Metro Rising Stars in 2012 through 2015. Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Barsky was an associate at Cooley LLP.
