Fox Rothschild LLP Expands Its Philadelphia Office With the Addition of Litigation Partner Michael Twersky

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce Michael K. Twersky has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department resident in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

“Michael is a terrific addition to our litigation practice in Philadelphia,” said Mark Morris, managing partner of the firm’s Philadelphia office. “He has long represented a number of prestigious companies and organizations here in the Delaware Valley, and his experience in commercial and criminal litigation will boost the depth of services we offer to clients in the region. Twersky represents clients in all aspects of commercial and criminal litigation and has handled matters involving securities fraud class actions, admiralty and maritime issues, complex contractual disputes and government investigation. He also represents clients with matters involving media, defamation and privacy law issues. His clients include television stations, newspapers, Internet companies, educational institutions, nonprofit entities and individuals, such as officers and crews of maritime vessels.

Among the matters he has handled, Twersky represented a church organization in a breach of fiduciary duty case that resulted in the return of $100 million in assets. He also secured a summary judgment on behalf of a television station in a defamation action brought by three police officers, and he has defended dozens of officers and crew members of maritime vessels in numerous federal criminal investigations.

Twersky is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 1997 from University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as editor for the Law Review, and he earned his B.A. from Boston University in 1989.
