Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Jeffrey M. Herskowitz as a partner in the Real Estate Department and Elizabeth J. Hampton as counsel in the Litigation Department. Herskowitz will split his time between the firm’s offices in Atlantic City and Philadelphia, and Hampton will practice out of the Princeton office.
Prior to joining the firm, Herskowitz and Hampton were the founding members of Herskowitz & Hampton LLC based in New Jersey.

With more than 18 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate law, Herskowitz handles matters involving real estate acquisition, lending, tax appeals, land use and development, contracts and leasing. Over the years, he has been integral in major real estate transactions.
Herskowitz has also guided clients through complex issues pertaining to tax exemptions, rebates, tenancy and lease agreements and has strategically advised clients on zoning and land use issues as well as secured loans and reduced property assessments for numerous residential and commercial entities, equating to millions of dollars in tax savings. Additionally, he represents clients – including landlords, tenants, property managers, buyers, sellers, developers and retail stores – in various real estate litigation matters.
Herskowitz is an active member of the American, New Jersey State, Camden County, Pennsylvania State and Philadelphia Bar Associations. He earned his J.D. from Widener University School of law in 1993 and his B.A. from the University of Maryland in 1990.
Hampton has been assisting clients for more than 20 years with various business-related litigation issues – including employment law, shareholder litigation, probate and restrictive covenant matters developing strategies tailored to their specific needs. She provides a range of services, including agreement preparation, sale and purchase arrangement of businesses and litigation counseling. In addition, Hampton is a certified arbitrator for the Superior Court of New Jersey and a frequent lecturer on topics including civil trial preparation and foreclosure matters.
Hampton is also experienced in health law matters. Clients – including general practitioners, dentists, therapists, psychologists, chiropractors and specialists – depend on her deep understanding of the complex regulations surrounding the medical profession and her extensive knowledge pertaining to practice formation, employment contracts, partnership agreements, restrictive covenants and administrative regulations, among many other matters.
Hampton earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1990.
