Fox Rothschild Names Five New Office Managing PartnersApril 1, 2016 – Press Releases
Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that it has appointed new leaders in five of the firm’s offices.
Effective April 1, the following attorneys will be office managing partners for their respective locations:
- Las Vegas: Mark J. Connot
- Miami: Joseph A. DeMaria
- San Francisco: Alexander Hernaez
- Roseland/Morristown: Deirdre E. Moore
- Exton: Todd A. Rodriguez
“Office managing partners play a key role in enhancing client service and helping to attract top legal talent to the firm,” said Mark L. Silow, Fox’s firmwide managing partner. “Our outgoing leaders have done an outstanding job and we are confident that our new leaders will build upon the foundations in place as the firm continues to grow nationwide.”
Silow noted that the changes are part of a normal rotation of office managing partners with all of the outgoing managing partners having served their full five-year terms.
The new group of leaders succeeds Brett A. Axelrod (Las Vegas), Keith I. Chrestionson (San Francisco), Stanley L. Goodman (Roseland/Morristown) and Craig A. Styer (Exton). DeMaria will be the firm’s first Miami office managing partner.
Connot has a broad-based litigation practice in federal and state courts focusing on complex commercial litigation and business disputes, including shareholder derivative actions, partnership and shareholder disputes and business torts, commercial transactions, complex real estate issues, banking and lender issues, and labor and employment. He has a lengthy background dealing with all manner of technology issues and has a keen interest in the evolving drone industry.
A former member of the Miami Organized Crime Strike Force with the Department of Justice and certified by the Florida Bar as a Business Litigation Specialist, DeMaria is an aggressive courtroom advocate on behalf of his clients who has managed some of South Florida’s most high-profile complex business litigation and white-collar criminal defense cases during his career.
Hernaez’s practice focuses on all aspects of employment litigation before state, federal and administrative courts. He is known as a vigorous defender of his clients' rights and has successfully represented companies in all aspects of California and federal employment law including allegations of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, retaliation, violations of the California Labor Code and Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, unlawful business practices, unfair competition, defamation, fraud, negligence, breach of contract and the intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Moore serves as a trusted adviser to a range of both commercial and residential developers and investors, handling matters related to the acquisition, sale, leasing, management and financing of commercial, retail, mixed-use development and redevelopment projects, as well as industrial and golf course projects. She has been recognized for several years as a leading real estate attorney in New Jersey by Chambers USA.
Rodriguez serves as co-chair of the firm’s Health Law Practice and has represented health care providers, including physicians, medical group practices, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic testing facilities and other health care practitioners such as dentists, chiropractors and veterinarians for more than 20 years. He is a regulatory and transactional health care attorney who focuses on fraud and abuse compliance, Medicare Part B reimbursement, managed care, corporate and contracting issues, network development arrangements, joint venture structuring and implementation, health care business sales and acquisitions and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy issues.
