Fox Rothschild Nominated for ACG Champion’s Awards

Fox Rothschild LLP was nominated and recently named a finalist for the Energy Deal of the Year in the 4th Annual Association for Corporate Growth New York Champion’s Awards.

Fox was nominated for its role representing Wilmington Trust Retirement and Institutional Services Company, as institutional trustee of the Energy Solutions Employee Stock Ownership Trust, in the acquisition of Oakland, CA-based Cohen Ventures Inc., dba Energy Solutions. Jeremy M. Pelphrey, a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, served as lead counsel in the matter.

The Champion’s Awards are a collaboration of The M&A Advisor, which offer insights and intelligence on middle market activities, and the Association for Corporate Growth, a New York City organization representing 900 middle market deal-making professionals.

The winners will be announced at the annual awards gala on June 19 at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.

In his practice at Fox, Pelphrey advises employers, fiduciaries and private investment funds on a broad range of ERISA and employee benefits-related matters. His clients include large and small businesses, closely held employee-owned corporations, tax-exempt organizations, financial institutions and private investment funds.

Pelphrey focuses his practice on qualified retirement plans, ESOPs, ERISA in private investment funds, acquisitions and dispositions, and he has extensive experience in the arena of fiduciary and compliance consulting and acquisition transactions involving ESOPs.

Pelphrey received his J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, his M.A. from the City University of New York, and his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University.
